Belanger Reaches 1500-Point Club, Earns Player of the Week
Hannah Belanger earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week award for women’s basketball after averaging 24 points and moving into the top three in Bulldog career scoring last week. It was her fourth GLVC Player of the Week award for her career.
Belanger scored 23 points and became the first Truman player to make all nine shot attempts in a game, five of which were three-pointers, in the 99-53 win against William Jewell, Jan. 12. In a victory against Rockhurst Jan. 14, she hit seven three-pointers en route to 25 points and went 9-of-16 from the field in the Bulldogs victory.
In December, Belanger scored her 1,500th point in the game against Florida Southern College. This is a feat accomplished by only four other Bulldogs in program history.
