Ted Howard, executive director of Democracy Collaborative with the University of Maryland, will present “Cooperating for Economic Development.”
Howard seeks to help build a different mode of economic development that is more sustainable, not only economically, but also socially and environmentally, on the basis of cooperation and mutual support. Howard will discuss the experiences of this initiative so far, which may serve as a model for similar projects, including Truman as it seeks to cooperate with the Kirksville and Adair County.
