This event is a Black History Month tribute celebrating who students are, where they come from and what they stand for through poetry and spoken word. Utilizing the prompt, “What does Black History Mean to You?” Students have the opportunity to voice their stories and experiences. Porsha Olayiwola will be speaking and provide a platform for students to embrace this. Contact caw1688@truman.edu if interested in performing spoken word at this event.

Paint by Numbers: Truman Edition

Student Union Building Down Under
There will be three different paint designs to choose from - all of which are photos from around Truman’s campus. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“The Hate U Give”

Student Union Building Georgian Rooms
In collaboration with Phi Beta Sigma and the Queers of Color Collective, SAB will host a showing of the film “The Hate U Give”. Following the film, there will be a panel of members from Truman’s Inclusive Excellence Committee to lead students in discussion.
