Belanger Picked as GLVC Women's Basketball Player of Week
Hannah Belanger was selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Belanger averaged 21.3 points in three Bulldog wins last week to extend the team’s conference-leading winning streak to five games.
Belanger scored 20 or more points in seven of the first 10 games played this season. Last week, she passed Jennifer Perkins (1,461 points) and Angie Gum (1,467 points) to move into fifth place on the Bulldog career scoring list. Belanger has 1,473 points in 88 games played.
She scored 21 in Truman’s 86-75 home win against Indianapolis, Nov. 28, tallied 14 points with seven rebounds in a 71-65 win at Lewis and then scored 29 points with five three-pointers in the 86-79 victory against Illinois Springfield, Dec. 3.
