Estes and Ross Earn GLVC Football Player of Week Honors
Isaiah Estes and Grant Ross were selected as two of the three Great Lakes Valley Conference Football Players of the Week. Estes was the defensive player, and Ross earned his second special teams player award.
Estes matched his career high with 14 tackles and assisted with Mason Crim on the biggest stop of the day when Truman stuffed Quincy on a fourth-and-one play on the Bulldog 34-yardline with a little more than three minutes to play. That turnover on downs gave Truman a chance to move down the field and eventually led to Ross’ 31-yard field goal with eight seconds left to play that tied the game at 27. Earlier Ross hit from 36 yards.
