Sana Camara, professor of French, was offered a contract by the Editorial Board of Harmattan-Sénégal for his edition of “La poésie sénégalaise d’expression française de 1945 à 1982.”
Austin Church, senior music composition major, was awarded Honorable Mention (Second Place) in 2010-11 Music Teachers National Association West-Central District Composition Competition. Austin’s awarded composition, entitled “The Wolf of the Steppes” for string quartet, was entered in the Young Artist category of the competition, open to undergraduate and graduate students. In November, Austin’s composition had been awarded First Place in the Missouri state competition and was Missouri’s representative in the national competition.
