First-year students may obtain their permanent ID cards at the ID Office located in Kirk Building 112. The office is open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 20. Students can make appointments to avoid standing in line Aug. 20. Appointments can be made for times between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 21-23. Students will need to bring their temporary meal card to exchange for a permanent ID.

Student parking decals for students who did not pre-register their vehicles will be available at Parking Services located in the Public Safety Building. The cost is $50 per academic year. The park-and-save decal is available for $15 per academic year, which allows a student to park in selected lots. The Public Safety Building will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 20. Students can also purchase decals from the cashiers window in McClain Hall. Students can visit with sorority and fraternity members

Ekklesia, Truman’s campus outreach of the Kirksville Church of Christ, is sponsoring a visit from former professional football player Willie Franklin. He will speak to the Truman football team and anyone else who is interested at 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at Red Barn Park. A free buffet will be provided by church members at 6:30 p.m. The rain location is Ryle Hall Main Lounge. Franklin played football for Oklahoma State University and professionally for the Rams and Colts. He now speaks to college students and urges them to make spiritual goals. Franklin will teach two informal classes at 7 p.m. Aug. 28-29 in the Ryle Hall Main Lounge. He will also have a keynote address at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 in the Baldwin Hall Little Theatre. Devotional lunches are planned Aug. 28-30 in the Ryle Hall Private Dining Room. Franklin will also be at the Ekklesia booth at the Truman Activities Fair on Aug. 30.
