Tailgate Before the Game
It’s the biggest Bulldog celebration yet!
Join us Saturday, October 19 from 11:00am – 1:45pm for the official Bulldog Homecoming Tailgate! Since this event will take the place of class reunions, we hope everyone will attend! Families, friends and students are welcome. Tailgating will be in the parking lot on the southwest corner of Franklin and Patterson streets (look for the purple and white Alumni Tent south of Centennial Hall and west of Pershing). There are several reunion events scheduled inside of the Tailgate; please check the online schedule for more details.
It’s not a tailgate without a BBQ! Sodexo is catering the event for $5/person (choices: hamburger, braut, hot dog or veggie burger; each meal served with chips, soda and a cookie). Meal tickets are available, and supplies are limited! Please purchase your ticket in advance! Truman students with meal plans can register in their Residence Hall Cafeteria.
Adults of drinking age may bring in their own wine or beer (no hard liquor, please). Event staff will be checking IDs and providing cups and wristbands for adult beverages. It is part of our Homecoming policy that alcoholic beverages should be consumed from the cups provided (not from cans, bottles or cups brought from home). This is a safety issue and we will be enforcing it! Outside vendors may not sell food, alcohol or merchandise. The complete tailgate policy can be found here.
In case of inclement weather, the Tailgate and other events will move into the Student Union Building in the Main Street Café and the Activities Room.
