Index and Detours Honored at National Convention
Two Truman State University student publications were recently honored at the National College Media Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
The Index, Truman’s student-produced newspaper, received second place in the Best of Show competition for four-year weekly broadsheet publications.
Detours, the student-produced travel magazine, was honored as a Pacemaker Award finalist.
The Pacemaker is the highest honor available to Associated Collegiate Press members and is considered one of the most prestigious awards in collegiate journalism. Both competitions involved publications from across the country and Canada.
