Scholarship Hours Available for Compost Project

The Compost Project assigns students in teams of two to collect food scraps from dining halls and transport them to the University Farm using the Compost Project pick-up truck, mix the scraps with sawdust for composting, thoroughly clean bins, and return the clean bins to the dining halls. This project helps divert more than 100,000 pounds of food waste from landfills each year. Students can apply for the position through trupositions.truman.edu.
