Morris Earns 10th Career GLVC Athlete of Week Award

A new school record earned Truman track and field thrower Jacob Morris his second indoor Athlete of the Week honor by the Great Lakes Valle Conference.
 
Morris went over the 20-meter threshold in the weight throw at Pittsburg (Kan.) State when he finished second in the event with a mark of 20.34 meters, Feb. 9. His previous best was 19.92 meters set earlier this season.
 
That mark places him second on the GLVC performance list and ninth on the Division II performance list with two weeks left in the regular indoor season. This is the 10th weekly award for Morris in his career with six coming during the indoor season.
