Enrollment Holding Steady
In a time when many colleges and universities are seeing fewer students on campus, Truman State University is experiencing steady enrollment and a modest increase in its freshman class.
Truman’s overall enrollment for this year stands at 6,225, on par with last year’s fall count of 6,237. Similarly, the totals for those enrolled as full time students are 5,612 for this year and 5,630 for last year.
While many universities enrolled fewer freshmen this fall, Truman has bucked national and regional trends with a new freshman enrollment increase of nearly four percent compared to last year. The incoming freshmen tout an average ACT of slightly more than 27 and a high school GPA of 3.77.
