Truman Officially Joins the GLVC
Following more than 100 years of competition with the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, the Truman Athletics Department became an official member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), effective July 1.
Nineteen of Truman’s 20 sports will battle both new and old rivals for GLVC titles beginning this September, with wrestling remaining an affiliate member of the MIAA since the GLVC does not sponsor a championship in that sport.
Truman’s official athletics website, TrumanBulldogs.com, will feature a sport-by-sport breakdown, running twice per week throughout the summer to help fans become familiar with the new league and its 15 other institutions. A final recap of Truman’s years in the MIAA was posted last week, with all GLVC-related content beginning July 1.
