Sendón Completes Publication in Collaboration with Spanish Army

Óscar Sendón, associate professor of Spanish, completed a three-year collaboration with Ejército, the leading publication of the Spanish Army. He was responsible for the section titled “Autobiografías de soldados de la Monarquía Hispánica,” in which he published selected reviews of military autobiographies of Spanish soldiers from the 16th and 17th centuries. These autobiographies offer firsthand accounts of their authors’ experiences and share numerous structural and thematic features with other genres, such as picaresque narratives and travel journals.
