Henrikson Takes Down Own School Records

Lexy Henrikson shattered her own school record while holding off teammate Addie Mathis at the finish line in the 1500-meter run at the Washington University Distance Carnival, March 29.

Henrikson took more than five seconds off her record set in 2023, running a time of 4:30.64. The previous record was 4:35.87.

Mathis finished in 4:30.97, shaving just under nine seconds off her previous best time in the race. Her prior fastest time was 4:39.63.

Henrikson placed fourth and Mathis fifth overall in a field that featured 36 of the top runners in the Midwest. The duo just missed earning an NCAA provisional time in the event, as the standard is 4:30.17.
