Park Seeks Volunteers for Clean Up
Kirksville’s Parks and Recreation Department will host a clean-up day at North Park from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 3 in preparation for spring games. Anyone who would like to volunteer is welcome.
Some of the goals of the park clean up include: small repairs of the Doc Gardner Field and bullpen areas; add infield dirt to help level the pee-wee fields; paint the shelter and dugout benches on the Orange and Doc Gardner fields and backstops; add mulch around trees; spread and rake engineered wood fiber at the playground; pick up trash and pull weeds throughout the park; and other miscellaneous tasks that will help make the park look great.
In the event of inclement weather, a make-up event will take place from 2-4:30 p.m. April 11.
