North Star Rotary BBQ competition

Wooden Nickel
Grilling and barbecue teams from around the state will face off in this cooking competition in the parking lot of the Wooden Nickel. Buying a ticket at the gate earns you the right to sample as much food as you want, plus you can cast a ballot to decide the People’s Choice winner.

This one-day festival in Rotary Park will celebrate the cultural connections between Africa and Kirksville through everything from food, clothing and art to immigration stories and folk tales.

Midwest Antique Fest

NEMO Fairgrounds
For two days, the NEMO Fairgrounds will transform into the ultimate hunting grounds for antiques, vintage clothing, repurposed creations and artisan crafts of all kinds. The fairgrounds will also host food vendors and live music.

Guardian of the Flame 5k

This five-kilometer race begins at Maxwell’s and benefits Special Olympics athletes.

Buddy Pack Walk
