Free Ham Radio Classes Offered

The Northeast Missouri Amateur Radio Club (NEMOARC) will be offering a free* amateur (ham) radio technician class. This is the entry-level rating for FCC-licensed amateur radio. The class will meet for eight or nine weeks on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9:30 p.m., starting Sept. 12, at the Adair County Health Department (1001 South Jamison St.).

*The class is free, but students will need to buy the textbook, ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 3rd Edition, available from the ARRL (arrl.org) or Amazon. To become licensed, the student will have to pass the FCC licensing exam (given as part of the class), for which there is a $15 fee per test.
