Truman Students Selected for Missouri Government Internship

Sixteen Truman State University students will begin legislative internships at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City next semester as part of the Missouri Government Internship program.
   The internship provides an inside look at state government. While in Jefferson City, the interns will be assigned to public officials based on compatibility and interests. The interns work with their legislator and his/her staff on a variety of jobs and tasks. The Truman interns will begin working with state representatives, legislators and in statewide offices with the start of the session Jan. 5.
   The spring interns are Stephanie Amick, senior political science major from Jefferson City; Pascael Barclay, senior political science major from Camdenton, Mo.; Joe Bredehoft, junior political science major from Winfield, Kan.; Diane Gollaher, senior political science and English double major from Maryland Heights, Mo.; John Griesedieck, senior political science major from Des Peres, Mo.; Ryan Hager, senior political science major from Chillicothe Mo.; Kyle Hirschman, junior chemistry major from Jefferson City; Paula Hodges, sophomore interdisciplinary studies major from Clarksburg, Mo.; Marie Ireland, junior political science major from O’Fallon, Mo.; Rebecca Knefelkamp, senior communication major from St. Louis; Evan Montgomery, senior political science major from Holden, Mo.; Curtis Niewald, junior political science major from St. Louis; Corey Schaecher, senior political science major from Edwardsville, Ill.; Brian Schmidt, senior psychology major from Lake St. Louis, Mo.; Michael Shelton, senior English major from Bartlett, Ill.; and Greg Smith, senior history and political science double major from Gladstone, Mo.
