Volunteers Needed for Bolognafest, Oct. 24
The University is seeking volunteers for Kirksville’s annual Bolognafest, taking place from 3-5:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in downtown Kirksville.
This family friendly event is hosted in conjunction with Kirksville’s Kraft Heinz facility. The Kirksville plant produces all of the Oscar Mayer bologna packaged and sold in the world.
In addition to free bologna and fried bologna sandwiches, the event will host booths featuring games and prizes, a food drive for the Pantry for Adair County, a cornhole tournament, a trunk-or-treat component and various inflatables. The official Wienermobile and the vintage Wienermobile will also both be on display for photos. Proceeds from t-shirt sales and the cornhole tournament will support Special Olympics.
