Faculty to Host “Odyssey” Presentations at Local Library
Amy Norgard, associate professor of classics, and Joshua Nudell, assistant professor of history, will lead two presentations at the Adair County Public Library about Homer’s “Odyssey.”
The presentations are inspired by the summer blockbuster epic film "The Odyssey" by Christopher Nolan. The first event will take place at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10 and is oriented toward kids who would like to know more about mythology and "The Odyssey" through crafts and activities.
The second event will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 and is aimed at an adult audience who would like to learn more about "The Odyssey," the inspiration for Nolan’s film and adaptations of the story in modern media. A limited number of door prizes will be available for the first attendees at the Oct. 15 event.
