Alumnus Returns as First Executive in Residence of 2026

The School of Business and Professional Studies will host alumnus Jason Ramthun as the Bentele/Mallinckrodt Executive in Residence, Jan. 27-28.

Ramthun is the community bank president of Missouri for Peoples National Bank. He has been in the banking industry for more than 25 years, and part of the Peoples National Bank team since 2015. Ramthun considers his main accomplishment at Peoples National Bank to be working with customers to grow their businesses. He has been awarded with several honors over the years, most notably as one of the 40 People to Know Under 40 in 2016 as named by The St. Louis Business Journal.

When he is not at Peoples National Bank, Ramthun enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering his time with many different groups, including the St. Louis Sports Commission, Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis, Immaculate Conception Dardenne Prairie and others in the area.

Ramthun graduated from Truman in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a member of the men’s basketball team from 1996-2000. He was part of the 1998-99 team that went to the Final Four and was inducted into the Truman Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009.

Ramthun and his wife Molly have three children. In his spare time he enjoys being with his family and golfing.

While he is on campus, Ramthun will host a fireside chat from 4-5 p.m. Jan 28 in Violette Hall 1000 with a reception to follow. Additionally, Ramthun will make appearances in multiple business and economics classes to discuss banking, economic supply and demand and his broad success in the banking industry.
