Local Orgs Sponsor Adopt-A-Child Program
Adair County’s Annual Adopt-A-Child Christmas Program. The annual event is sponsored by the Kirksville Firefighters Local 2952, KTUF/KIRX/KRXL Radio, and the Community Action Partnership of Northeast Missouri.
Since the program’s conception in 1985, special gifts have been provided by the community to approximately 500 Adair County children each year. The program provides Adair County families, who might not otherwise have a special Christmas package for their child, an opportunity for that child to receive a gift of their choice.
Donations can come in the form of: free coupons for food or other items; items or gift cards for door prizes; wrapping paper; toys; cookies; or purchase a gift for a specific child. For more information, contact Teresa at 660.665.3734. Donations should be received by Dec. 11, or sooner if possible, and may be delivered to the Kirksville Fire Department located at 401 N. Franklin, Kirksville, Missouri. Gifts will be distributed mid-December.
