Take Root to Host Renewable Energy Panel
Representatives from four different agencies will come together for a panel discussion on renewable energy at 7 p.m. April 25 at Take Root Café in downtown Kirksville.
Experts on wind and solar energy, along with professionals from Ameren UE and Great Rivers, the state’s foremost environmental law center, will discuss a variety of topics. Among the issues they will exam are the current opportunities renewable energy offers northeast Missouri, including new employment, service to farming communities and rejuvenation for local and regional economies.

Panelist include: Brad Brown, environmental communications manager for Ameren UE; Paul McKnight, CEO of EFS Energy and vice president of Missouri Solar Energy Industries Association; Henry Roberts, climate and energy program director of Great Rivers Environmental Law; and Mark Casper, vice president of environmental affairs for Terra-Gen LLC.
