“Israelis and Palestinians in Deadlock or Transition?
Global Implications for the Result.”


Mark Appold, associate professor of philosophy and religion, will moderate a panel of student participants from a Summer 2011 Truman State University Middle East study abroad course that visited Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Jerusalem and the West Bank. The presentations will discuss the Balfour document, the Oslo Accords, United Nations resolutions, Gaza, water rights and Biblical Israel and modern Israel. Dereck Daschke, professor of philosophy and religion, will talk about the reasons for contentious debate on the status of Jerusalem.
