Hayes Nabs GLVC Athlete of the Week for Track and Field

Freshman Aidan Hayes was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Hayes dominated the men’s javelin event at the Lincoln Blue Tiger Open, April 5. His best throw of the meet, 52.23 meters (171 feet, 4 inches), won the event by a wide margin — more than nine feet ahead of second place and nearly 30 feet ahead of third and fourth place.
 
His season-best mark of 56.13 meters (184 feet, 2 inches) ranks third among GLVC throwers.
