Two Truman Field Athletes Earn Athlete of the Week Honors

Juniors Destiny Zimdars and Hayden Long earned their first Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week honors.

Zimdars competed in both the shot put and weight throw at the Dutch Holiday Preview, Dec. 13. She placed 14th in the shot with a mark of 9.75 meters and was fourth in the weight at 14.13 meters.
 
Long set two new personal best marks in his three events, also at the Dutch Holiday Preview meet. He cleared 3.85 meters to place sixth in the pole vault and had a personal record shot put mark of 13.37 meters to finish eighth. In his other event, he jumped 6.43 meters to place sixth in the long jump.
