This duo will perform a mix of slam poetry and role playing to share personal experiences regarding “racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia and current divisive issues in the world today.” We hope to see you all there for this enlightening performance!

“Rafiki”: A Movie and Discussion

Kena and Ziki live very different lives in Nairobi, Kenya. Their paths cross when their fathers run against each other for seats in the County Assembly, and they find themselves drawn to each other. Soon their interest grows to affection and the girls find ways to share a forbidden love with each other despite the ever-watching gaze of the neighborhood. Join the Student Activities Board and the Queers of Color Collective for a showing of the movie followed by a discussion.
