Truman Parents Generosity Help Fund New Videoconference Studios

Thanks to the generosity of many Truman parents, ITS has installed 4 new videoconference studios in high-traffic areas in order to make it easier for students to have the necessary facilities to meet with mentors, internship providers, potential employers, as well as friends and family who might be at a distance.

The mic and speaker unit in our three newest studios provides full-duplex, HD audio quality via four integrated omni-directional mics and advanced noise cancellation.  The camera provides HD 1080p video. Each room also features a large, bright, LED monitor on which to view the remote party.

Students, faculty, or staff members may use Skype, Facebook Messenger, Zoom, or other chosen web-conferencing tool.  Users may initiate or receive videoconferences in these studios.

Two of the rooms are located in the Pickler Memorial Library.  They can be accessed by visiting the Mulitimedia Lab and Studios in PML203.  A third videoconference studio is located in the SUB - Rm1113.  This can be reserved through the SUB office. The fourth studio has been in use for about year already - but if you haven't seen it yet - you can find it out in Barnett Hall - BT2210.
